Trace the problem before choosing the fix
Water can travel before it becomes visible on a ceiling. Note where staining appears and whether it follows particular rain events. A roof review should consider flashing, penetrations, drainage, material condition, and previous repairs rather than treating the interior stain as the only clue.
La Porte permit planning
La Porte’s roofing FAQ says a roofing permit is needed and directs applicants to its Citizen Self Service portal. Ask Inspection Services which project documents and final inspection requirements apply to your roof; city permitting and TDI documentation are separate questions.

Can I compare a repair with replacement?
Yes. Ask what the proposed repair would address, what condition the rest of the roof is in, and which issues would remain. For a replacement option, compare a complete written scope, including how hidden decking damage will be handled.
Check windstorm requirements before work starts
Use the property address and proposed scope when checking coastal inspection requirements. Our Texas windstorm zone guide links to official TDI resources, and the WPI-8 guide explains finding existing records and planning for new work. Confirm the requirements for your project before construction begins.
Start with a roof conversation
Tell us the address, approximate roof age, leak or damage history, and your preferred callback number. We can discuss an inspection, repair, or replacement proposal. Visit the roof replacement page for the process and warranty questions, then request a quote.
